Page 600 — Al-'Adiyat, Al-Qari'ah, At-Takathur

  1. 100:6

    Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

    And indeed, he is to that a witness.

    And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

    But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

    The Striking Calamity -

    What is the Striking Calamity?

    And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

    It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

    And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

    Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

    He will be in a pleasant life.

    But as for one whose scales are light,

    His refuge will be an abyss.

    [1977] Literally, "mother" (a man's original refuge) , which will envelop him as in an embrace. [1978] i.e., the pit of Hellfire.

    And what can make you know what that is?

    It is a Fire, intensely hot.

    Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

    Until you visit the graveyards.

    No! You are going to know.

    No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...

    [1981] The conclusion of this verse is estimated to be "...you would not have been distracted from preparing for the Hereafter."

    You will surely see the Hellfire.

إِنَّٱلۡإِنسَٰنَلِرَبِّهِۦلَكَنُودٞ٦وَإِنَّهُۥعَلَىٰذَٰلِكَلَشَهِيدٞ٧وَإِنَّهُۥلِحُبِّ
ٱلۡخَيۡرِلَشَدِيدٌ٨۞أَفَلَايَعۡلَمُإِذَابُعۡثِرَمَافِيٱلۡقُبُورِ٩
وَحُصِّلَمَافِيٱلصُّدُورِ١٠إِنَّرَبَّهُمبِهِمۡيَوۡمَئِذٖلَّخَبِيرُۢ١١
سُورَةُ القارعة
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ١مَاٱلۡقَارِعَةُ٢وَمَآأَدۡرَىٰكَمَاٱلۡقَارِعَةُ٣يَوۡمَ
يَكُونُٱلنَّاسُكَٱلۡفَرَاشِٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ٤وَتَكُونُٱلۡجِبَالُ
كَٱلۡعِهۡنِٱلۡمَنفُوشِ٥فَأَمَّامَنثَقُلَتۡمَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٦فَهُوَفِي
عِيشَةٖرَّاضِيَةٖ٧وَأَمَّامَنۡخَفَّتۡمَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٨فَأُمُّهُۥهَاوِيَةٞ
٩وَمَآأَدۡرَىٰكَمَاهِيَهۡ١٠نَارٌحَامِيَةُۢ١١
سُورَةُ التكاثر
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُٱلتَّكَاثُرُ١حَتَّىٰزُرۡتُمُٱلۡمَقَابِرَ٢كَلَّاسَوۡفَتَعۡلَمُونَ٣ثُمَّ
كَلَّاسَوۡفَتَعۡلَمُونَ٤كَلَّالَوۡتَعۡلَمُونَعِلۡمَٱلۡيَقِينِ٥لَتَرَوُنَّٱلۡجَحِيمَ٦
ثُمَّلَتَرَوُنَّهَاعَيۡنَٱلۡيَقِينِ٧ثُمَّلَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّيَوۡمَئِذٍعَنِٱلنَّعِيمِ٨
