Page 580 — Al-Insan, Al-Mursalat

  1. 76:26

    And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt [i.e., praise] Him a long [part of the] night.

  2. 76:27

    Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.

    Note

    [1814] i.e., neglect. The meaning may also be "leave ahead of them."

    We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.

    Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.

    And you do not will except that Allāh wills. Indeed, Allāh is ever Knowing and Wise.

    He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.

    By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

    And the winds that blow violently

    And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

    And those [angels] who bring criterion

    And when the messengers' time has come...

    [1817] i.e., when they are gathered to witness concerning their nations. The sentence's conclusion is understood to be "...the promised judgement will then take place."

    For what Day was it postponed?

    [1818] "It" may refer to either the aforementioned occurrences collectively or to the testimony of the messengers.

وَمِنَٱلَّيۡلِفَٱسۡجُدۡلَهُۥوَسَبِّحۡهُلَيۡلٗاطَوِيلًا٢٦إِنَّهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
يُحِبُّونَٱلۡعَاجِلَةَوَيَذَرُونَوَرَآءَهُمۡيَوۡمٗاثَقِيلٗا٢٧نَّحۡنُخَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
وَشَدَدۡنَآأَسۡرَهُمۡۖوَإِذَاشِئۡنَابَدَّلۡنَآأَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡتَبۡدِيلًا٢٨إِنَّ
هَٰذِهِۦتَذۡكِرَةٞۖفَمَنشَآءَٱتَّخَذَإِلَىٰرَبِّهِۦسَبِيلٗا٢٩وَمَاتَشَآءُونَ
إِلَّآأَنيَشَآءَٱللَّهُۚإِنَّٱللَّهَكَانَعَلِيمًاحَكِيمٗا٣٠يُدۡخِلُ
مَنيَشَآءُفِيرَحۡمَتِهِۦۚوَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَأَعَدَّلَهُمۡعَذَابًاأَلِيمَۢا٣١
سُورَةُ المرسلات
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِعُرۡفٗا١فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِعَصۡفٗا٢وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِنَشۡرٗا٣
فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِفَرۡقٗا٤فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِذِكۡرًا٥عُذۡرًاأَوۡنُذۡرًا٦إِنَّمَا
تُوعَدُونَلَوَٰقِعٞ٧فَإِذَاٱلنُّجُومُطُمِسَتۡ٨وَإِذَاٱلسَّمَآءُفُرِجَتۡ
٩وَإِذَاٱلۡجِبَالُنُسِفَتۡ١٠وَإِذَاٱلرُّسُلُأُقِّتَتۡ١١لِأَيِّيَوۡمٍأُجِّلَتۡ
١٢لِيَوۡمِٱلۡفَصۡلِ١٣وَمَآأَدۡرَىٰكَمَايَوۡمُٱلۡفَصۡلِ١٤وَيۡلٞيَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ١٥أَلَمۡنُهۡلِكِٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ١٦ثُمَّنُتۡبِعُهُمُٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
١٧كَذَٰلِكَنَفۡعَلُبِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ١٨وَيۡلٞيَوۡمَئِذٖلِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ١٩
